“Dilli 6” to be released around republic day

There are many films in line focusing the metro city Delhi .Aamir Khan’s ”Delli Belli,” Akshay Kumar’s ” Chandani Chowk to China” and “Dilli 6”. The Rakeysh Om Prakash Mehra’s film “Dilli 6” is expected to be released around 26 January next year ,around the Republic day because the previous film of Mehra fared well when was released around this part of the year.

The previous film of Rakesh Om Prakash Mehra was “Rang De Basanti” that turned out to be beneficial gamble for not only the director but also for Aamir Khan, as the film was a hit movie and the film got audience for music, script and even the debutant actors. The film was released around 26 January. The failure brought to Om Prakash Mehra from “Aks” got resolved after the release of “Rang De Basanti. “

Actor Atul Kulkarni will also be appearing in “Dilli 6” and he is said to be doing the role of Gobar. Atul said that role is completely different from “Rang De Basanti. “ Atul refused to talk of the script of the film but it is said that the film is about Rakeysh’s own life experience about the city Delhi and the old Delhi region of Chandani Chawk where Mehra stayed in his childhood.

Inspired from previous film’s success, Rakesh is planning to release his next film around the same days, when the director will get four consecutive holidays after the movie release and the time will make audience reach and watch the film. The film has Sonam Kapoor and Abhishek Bachchan in lead role and the film will also have the “Rang De Basanti” lucky mascot Waheeda Rahman in a small role.
