Ab Tumhare Hawale Watan Sathiyon fails to impress audience

Ab Tumhare Hawale Watan Sathiyon fails to impress audience

ATHWS:
People just don’t seem to be interested in war films. This film too opened to very dull houses all over India. Being a festive period, people want to see fun films than go in for the guns and patriotism.

Raincoat:
Director Rituparno Ghosh is acclaimed as an art filmmaker so it came as no surprise that only the niche audience in multiplexes came to see the movie but the situation in single screens was far from satisfactory.

Aabra ka Daabra:
The film was poorly advertised and this could be the reason why the film got a gentle opening. Children have Christmas holidays as the schools are closed - this may help a bit in the coming days.

Swades:
The film has mainly found appreciation with the critics and certain gentry class. The general public has rejected it. The first week’s collections were average but at some small centers, the film had great difficulty running the entire week. Mumbai was slightly better but not good enough.

Musafir:
The collections fell further in the second week. As the producers had sold the film for a fancy price they had made money but the poor distributors are having a tough time recovering their money.
