Vipul Shah’s Waqt set for release

Vipul Shah’s second film, Waqt, adapted from a Gujarati play is all set to release.

The film is a story of a father-son relationship, a subject that has been told umpteen times on celluloid.

But Vipul Shah believes that his film, Waqt delves into more complex issues.

“Waqt does not boast of a casting coup. Amitabh Bachchan and Akshay Kumar have often been cast together in the past. Priyanka Chopra plays the romantic interest of the ‘Khiladi’ and Shefali Shetty plays the wife of the Big B,” said Vipul Shah.

The promotional campaign of Waqt kicks off next week but the big challenge ahead of the makers is to create the film’s own identity as there have been several films made on the same title.
