Aamir Khan revamps his looks for Rang De Basanti

After a lot of speculation UTV’s launched ‘Rang De Basanti’ at a glittering party.

Now here’s a revelation on the two female leads. An English actress has been reportedly cast opposite Aamir while Soha Ali Khan (Saif’s sister) has been cast in a supporting role, opposite one of the yet-to-be-finalized actors.

After two long years, Aamir Khan’s handlebar moustache and luscious mane have finally been lopped off.

Aamir Khan came in his new look at the launch of Rakesh Mehra’s “Rang De Basanti”.

Aamir amazed one and all with his new looks. He looked younger by almost 5 years. Khan showed off his new look - wild, curly long locks falling across his forehead. And believe us he has never looked better.

The designers on team of Rang De Basanti have experimented on Aamir’s looks for nine months. His character is a youthful one, and Aamir’s look needed to be clean-shaven and fresh. And Aamir’s new looks suit him to T.

Rang De Basanti is a celebration. It celebrates the youth of India, and Aamir represents that youth,” said director Rakyesh Mehra.

Hairstylist Aavan Contractor apparently worked on Aamir’s haircut for over an hour, to come up with what she calls a “longish, short hair cut.” “I was giving a brief for his role and I think his cut fits it perfectly.”

“He is looking fantastic. He is looking like a rock star. He is looking extremely fresh, like a newcomer. I’ve never seen him looking better,” said director David Dhawan, on the all-new Aamir.

So how does the actor feel about his new, young look? “I feel lighter. The film is about the youth and I play an easy-going character. I do films that touch my heart and I really liked the script and characters of this one. This role is one of the most unusual, challenging roles I have done and my new look fits the character perfectly.”

The cast is comprised of Aamir Khan, Kunal Kapoor, Sharman Joshi, Atul Kulkarni, Om Puri and Waheeda Rehman among others. Two more male leads are yet to be cast.
