First Phase of Jackson Case ends
Tuesday saw the completion of the first phase of jury selection for the Michael Jackson child molestation trial. 250 would-be jurors were chosen by the Superior Court Judge Rodney Melville in just a day and a half.
Twelve jurors and eight alternates now have to be chosen from the pool of 250.
These 250 jurors will be required to fill out a seven page questionnaire about the case and return on Monday to be further screened by the lawyers and the judge involved in the case.
Michael Jackson is who legally required to attend the jury selection ahs been on his best behavior as he sat quietly on the defense table with an occasional smile towards the prospective jurors.
Legal experts say the influence of his celebrity has already been felt and will continue to be at center stage during the entire trial.
