Guide to Galaxy Goes Big at the Box Office

“The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy” took the number one spot at the North American box office this past weekend. The film brought in USD 21.7 million.

“The Interpreter” came in second with a take of USD 14.2 million in its second weekend. “XXX: State of the Union opened in the number three spot with only USD 13.7 million.

“The Amityville Horror” remake came in at no. 4 with a respectable USD 8.1 million followed by “Sahara” in the no. 5 spot with a take of USD 6 million.
