Michael Jackson Says Stardom Makes Him an Easy Target

Michael Jackson insisted that the accusations against him were made because he is a well known personality and that makes him an easy target for false claims. The artist pleaded not guilty to 10 charges, including felony conspiracy with children, false imprisonment and extortion.

Michael Jackson said in a recent interview to Fox News Channel’s “At Large with Geraldo Rivera” recorded about two weeks ago that many of the news reports about him are “fiction” and that his celebrity status makes him a target.

Michael Jackson claimed that the report claiming he fathered twins last year was another false gossip. “I created Neverland as a home for myself and my children,” said Jackson, a father of three. “It gave me a chance to do what I couldn’t do when I was little,” he said.

“The bigger the star, the bigger the target. I’m not trying to say I’m the super-duper star, I’m not saying that,” Michael Jackson said in the interview.
