After Swades Ashutosh starts Jodha-Akbar

Swades came and went. It was appreciated for the simplicity and criticized for its slow pace. But unlike Lagaan Swades was a dud at box-office. Ashutosh didn’t reacted to the drubbing Swades received by trade-analysts and started work on the script of his next movie.

Ashutosh Gowariker’s next film is a romantic musical/historical epic called ‘Jodha-Akbar’. Ashutosh plans to start shooting in December 2005 and expects to complete it by April 2006.

The cast of the film, already finalized (especially the lead actor) will be announced before the end of this month.
