U2 hold the number one spot in the UK singles sales chart with Sometimes You Can’t Make It On Your Own.

The Irish rockers denied posthumous glory to Elvis Presley via the re-release of Wooden Heart, the latest in the bombardment of re-issues of his chart-toppers.
