Prosecutors to display ‘Erotic Material’ Sized from Jackson
Prosecutors want to display “erotic materials” seized from pop star Michael Jackson’s Neverland ranch at his child molestation trial, saying the books, magazines and videos reveal his motive in touching a young boy were sexual, court papers showed on Monday.
Details of the material that Santa Barbara County prosecutors want admitted at Jackson’s trial were censored by Superior Court Judge Rodney Melville, who blacked out much of the documents and has imposed an unusual level of secrecy in the case.
“The people seek to introduce numerous … books, videos and magazines seized on November 13, 2003 from the defendant’s master bedroom suite at Neverland Valley Ranch, the video arcade and from a room adjoining the defendant’s private office in a security building,” District Attorney Tom Sneddon said in the papers. Concert To Mark Selena’s Death Anniversary Set
A three-hour concert to mark the 10th anniversary of the death of Tejano singing star Selena has been set for Houston’s Reliant Stadium this spring.
Several performers, including Gloria Estefan and Thalia, are to participate in the event, to be broadcast live April 7 by the Univision Network.
“We can hardly believe it has been so long since she left us, but we are excited to help celebrate her life and her spirit,” said Houston Mayor Bill White. (more…)

SYSTEM OF A DOWN have announced two additional nights at BRIXTON ACADEMY after their first show sold out in hours.
The band who release the first part of their new album ‘Mesmerize/Hypnotize’ in April, will now play the venue on June 4 and 5 in addition to their original tour dates.

Oasis - Champagne Supernova - To Feature On The O.C.
Oasis’s song is to be featured on an American TV show the O.C. This will give the band the much needed popularity boost in the States.
Their song ‘Champagne Supernova’ will be featured on the programme, reports Ananova, on its forthcoming season finale.

Audrey Tautou to crack The Da Vinci Code
Charming French actress Audrey Tautou (Amelie, Dirty Pretty Things, A Very Long Engagement) is to star in the mystical thriller Da Vinci Code, the film adaptation of Dan Brown’ s bestselling book, scheduled to be released in May 2006, reports the French newspaper Le Parisian.
The movie version of Dan Brown’s best-selling novel is being directed by Ron Howard and also stars Tom Hanks.
Tautou will play Hanks’ code-cracking partner, according to various newspapers.
She is currently starring in A Very Long Engagement, directed by Jean-Pierre Jeunet.
It is Neveu’s grandfather’s murder in the Louvre that brings her and Langdon together to search for his killer as they also try to unravel a secret that involves the foundation of Christianity.
Jean Reno plays Detective Bezu Fache in the project produced by Brian Grazer and John Calley.
Jeunet was also responsible for directing Tautou in Amelie in 2001, which launched the actress into the mainstream.
Production is scheduled to begin in mid-2005 with an eye for a May 19, 2006, release.
