Rang De Basanti is a film which compel the today youth to understand that to solve problems like corruption, disloyalty, illicit works that are prevailing in the society, they should stand up against them and should try to take things in their hands rather than ignoring or avoiding them.

Ash and Abhishek have been shooting for J P Dutta’s Umrao Jaan in Jaipur, Rajashthan for more than a month now and people are saying that they spent a lot of time together on sets. It is rumored that both of them have developed deeper feelings for each other.

Bipasha Basu is playing on-screen sister to Tanushree Dutta in producer Raj Kanwar’s forthcoming film. Bipasha is playing an overprotective Kajal and Tanushree is her college-goer sibling Aditi.

Incidentally both the actresses are Bengali and Tanushree is excited of sharing screen space with Bipasha. She said, “I’m looking forward to landing up on the sets and facing the camera with Bipasha. I keep hunting for Bengalis wherever I go, only for the gupshup in our mother tongue and of course the dabba, which will have ethnic cuisine.”

Ahana Deol - Hema Malini youngest daughter and Esha Deol sister, is planning to enter the silver screen but before getting into that she will make her presence felt through a TV commercial. Hema Malini will share the screen with her to encourage her.

The ad is for a water purifier. The water purifier brand wanted Hema and a girl to endorse the product. The veteran actress wants to prepare her daughter for acting career so she suggested Ahana name to them.

Hema Malini reveled that at first Ahana was unwilling to act in the ad but ultimately she coaxed her into it “I told her, Mama is with you. You’ll be just next to mummy and she’ll take care of everything.”

Former Miss India turned actress Gul Panag, who was absent from the scene lately is eagerly looking forward to her next release Phir Zindagi - where she is paired with actor Milind Soman.

Phir Zindagi is a beautiful and funny love story about a girl who wants to kill herself and then rediscovers life and love. Team of Milind Soman, director Parvati Balagopalan and producer Deepa Sahi who last worked together in ‘Rules - Pyaar Ka Superhit Formula’ are coming back again with Phir Zindagi.

The movie got delayed somehow (Sheduled in September 2005) and will hopefully release in February. The actress got wary of the long wait and turned a scriptwriter. She has written an interesting story for a known actor friend whom she does not want to name.
