The Hindi filmmaker Hrishikesh Mukherjee made mostly simplistic social comedies and he has been loved by his fans for making movies like “Chupke Chupke”, “Anupama”, ”Anand “, “Abhimaan”, “Guddi” , “Gol Maal”, “Bawarchi”, and “Namak Haraam.” Most of these films were based on families, fun together in families and it was inspired from Calcutta (Bengali) way of living. He tried to talk of families and happiness in joint families, at the time when joint families started breaking up into nuclear families in India.

Arjun gets another impressive offer

Arjun has been late to catch the race in Bollywood but slowly and steadily, he is getting recognition and impressive offers. Rampal has been offered to play the role of King Ashoka’s son Kunal Avadana in the film that is to be made by Dr Chandraprakash Dwivedi. The lead role of Ashoka will be played by Amitabh Bachchan.

Shilpa Shetty was present in the inaugural function of Formula One World Singtel Singapore Grand Prix with her boyfriend Raj Kundra and she said that she got invitation through Briton for the function although she has been cheering the Indian team. The Grand Prix was held from September 26 to 28.

Saif apologizes to Patiala reporters

The clashes between reporters and security guards of Saif Ali Khan, started when reporters tried to get a photograph of Saif during a film shooting at the Patiala Railway station. The controversy was followed by protests and was taken to court by the reporters. But it got solved when Saif Ali Khan himself apologized to the reporters.

Man arrested for threatening Amitabh

A man named Devi Singh, who is look alike of Abhishek Bachchan threatened Bachchan on mobile SMS’s and asked for Rs 25 lakhs. Devi Singh was arrested by Mumbai crime branch after Amitabh Bachchan filed complaint against him on 26 September. Devi Singh will be produced in court on Tuesday.

Deepika celebrates Ranbir’s birthday on sets

On 28th September Deepika Padukone reached the sets of the film “Ajab Prem Ki Gajab Kahani” in Ooty and wished Ranbir Birthday. They bought cake on the sets of the film, where they celebrated Ranbir’s birthday and later went for dinner. The couple was expected to participate in birthday celebrations in Mumbai with Kapoor’s but it got cancelled for shoot delay.
