For the year 2009, most of the award ceremonies will have these selections of names for awards: Tarun Mansukhani’s “Dostana” and Madhur’s “Fashion” were bold movies into Indian cinema and films like “Rock On” started a new trend in movie making.

Big Pictures “Ghajini” to make Rs 100 crores in a week

“Ghajini” had been in news for opening with huge collections in Indian market and the film will also be one of the highest collectors of Hindi movies in West Asia in the overseas market. “Ghajini” made collections of $ 0.92 million on the opening day itself. The movie was released in 22 countries by Big Pictures, the company owned by Anil Dhirubhai Ambani group called Reliance BIG Entertainment.

Many actors do cameo for “Kal Kisne Dekha”

Many actors will be doing guest roles in the Vashu Bhagnani’s film “Kal Kisne Dekha”. Vashu’s son Jackky is debuting from the film. Many top actors of Bollywood Sanjay Dutt, Juhi Chawla and Riteish Deshmukh have already finished their part for the film and a few other will do cameo in the movie. The film has Vaishali Desai opposite Jackky.

Ghalib’s 212 birth anniversary gets celebrated

Mirza Ghalib has been inspiration for many poets and the songs written by Ghalib are still taken by cinema makers to write lyrics for movie songs. Ghalib has been alive with human emotions and poems, after 200 years. Ghalib wrote poetry in Urdu and Persian and a film was made on his life in 50’s decade.

Sonam calls Shobha ‘porn writer’

Shobha De had commented pessimistically in her blog about Deepika Padukone and Sonam Kapoor. She said ‘Sonam did not look sexy in lingerie advertisement’ and for Deepika - she wrote –‘she did not qualify to be sexiest on earth. ‘Sonam said “Shobha was a 60 somewhat porn writer.”

Raja Chowdhary takes treatment from a psychiatrist

Raja Chowdhary was in news for his misbehavior with house mate, when he was participating in the “Bigg Boss” house show. Raja was present till the finals of the show and he lost the show in the final episode. Raja had to go behind bars for getting violent and he is taking treatment for controlling anger under psychiatrist Dr Sachin Patkar.

Salman and Aamir publicly admitted their friendship

There have been talks going on between Salman and Aamir over the sequel of “Andaaz Apna Apna” .Aamir participated in “Dus Ka Dum,” show of Salman and Salman helped in promoting Ghajini’s portrait with Asin. Both the actors are teaming up against Shahrukh though they rejected to any such news.
