Weekly Box office collections

Last week’s releases included sci -fiction thriller, Bipasha Basu and Neil Nitin Mukesh starrer ‘Aa Dekhen Zara,’ Bobby Deol’s ‘Ek – The Power of One’ and Preity Zinta’s starrer ‘Videsh – Heaven on Earth.’ The month of March did not prove beneficial for prospective movies such as ‘Aa Dekhen Zara’ because the multiplex owners refused to screen the movie across India at major screens.

‘Kambakkht Ishq’ is the first Hindi film to be shot in Universal?

Sajid Nadiadwala has been telling that the movie ‘Kambakkht Ishq’ is one of the first films of Bollywood that was shot at Universal studios and the Kodak Theatres. The film stars Kareena Kapoor and Akshay Kumar in lead roles and Hollywood stars Arnold Schwarzenegger, Denise Richards, Sylvester Stallone and Brandon Routh appear in cameo roles in the movie.

Rensil d Silva the director writer of the film ‘Hook Ya Crook’ said the movie ‘Hook Ya Crook’ is a prison based drama that is not inspired from the film ‘The Longest Yard.’ Rensil is currently busy editing a film where Kareena and Saif will appear together .A jail has been erected in Hyderabad at Ramoji Rao Studio for the film ‘Hook Ya Crook’ by David Dhawan.

Shilpa Shetty into talks with BBC to star in “EastEnders”

Shilpa Shetty recently bought a 10 million pounds mansion in Weybridge in Surrey and she will move into the mansion after her marriage with her London based beau Raj Kundra. The actress was approached by the producers of “EastEnders” where she plays the member of the new Asian family.
