Why is elusive Aamir suddenly so perceptible?

It has a been a great surprise to many that a person like Aamir Khan, who keeps away from too many public appearances, is making it a point to be at as many big functions as possible and in the ‘Mangal Pandey’ get-up, even at projects/events not even distinctly related to him. The two instances that come to mind are the ‘Mughal-E-Azam’ and ‘Morning Raga’ premier. He was also seen at the launch of ABCL’s ‘The Family’.

A senior journalist, who does not want to be named, let the cat out of the bag and told us “Look, Aamir is not what is generally thought of him. He is a very smart operator. Not only does he realize that his last release was a few years back, he also has to make people accept his new totally different ‘Mangal Pandey’ look, which is unlike what he or any of the leading actors have done before. That’s why all these frequent appearances in the movie get-up.”

We do agree with you sir, as we saw the applause he got when he appeared on screen during the short trailer of Mangal Pandey’, during ‘Veer-Zaara’.
