The Pink Panther resurfaces

Peter Sellars was a drunk and impossible to work with. He was also a comedy genius who, like the Monty Python cast, should never have been emulated or imitated.

But this is Hollywood and Hollywood knows better. Or should that be, Hollywood doesn’t give a crap where there’s a quick buck to be made with little effort.

So in this time of dried up ideas and washed-up 80s careers, the two have merged to create an abomination on a grand scale. A remake of The Pink Panther, one of the definitive comedies of the 60s, starring Steve Martin, who flushed his career down the toilet around the same time Eddie Murphy did.
