Court Summons against Priyanka Chopra

Priyanka Chopra is in problem once again. Problems seem to follow her everywhere. Actress Priyanka Chopra has been summoned by the Andheri Metropolitan court on a recent case of cheating filed against her over failing to pay part of her earnings to a promotion agency.

Producer P G Shreekant has lodged a case with the Andheri Metropolitan court against Priyanka, her father Dr A.K. Chopra and her former secretary Prakash Jaju last month. All three have been told to appear before the court on December 7. The charge is of cheating wherein the Chopras owe the producer an amount of over Rs one crore as commission.

The Chopras has registered with Shreekant’s firm, Akshay Management Services in 2001 for getting Priyanka better roles. Priyanka’s father has forwardes 2.5 lakhs as the token money. The firm claims to have got Priyanka around 10 films including her Bollywood debut - The Hero. But they were never paid back their commission. And after 2002 all their payments have been stopped.

Shreekant has earlier produced the Nana Patekar starrer Ghulam-e-Mustafa and is currently financing the Arya Babbar starrer Dost Dosti Dostana.
