Blue Leaves U2 Behind

At the recent NRJ Music Awards Blue received the award for Best International Group. The NRJ Music Awards are equivalent to the Brit Awards. It featured performances from stars like Usher and Jennifer Lopez, who performed with a troupe of dancers dressed as schoolgirls.

Other than Blue Usher received the award for Best International Male Artist. U2 were beaten by Blue for Best International Group but they were presented with a special achievement trophy. Bono had this to say to say to the audience: “I’m not from this country but I’ll make a little confession to you - it’s at the Cote d’Azur I feel at home.”

Other than that Maroon 5 received Best New International Artist and Best International Song for “This Love”. Avril Lavigne won Best International Female.

Black Eyed Peas bagged the award for The Best International Album for their album “Elephunk”.
