Constantine: Movie Preview

The Matrix is over and Keanu has squandered our goodwill. So he’s gone right back to wearing ties and mucking about in cubicle ridden office buildings.

This time, he’s kicking it up a notch by fighting not a bunch of lousy computer generated agents, but the Devil himself!

Constantine is based on the DC comicbook “Hellblazer” about a supernatural detective named John Constantine.

The movie will chronicle his teamup with a female police officer and their journeys through a demon and angel infested world hidden just under the surface of Los Angeles. Sorta reminds me of something written by Joss Whedon.

Well the trailers are out and it’s not terribly unpromising. There’s some flailing around and a lot of destruction. I just wish Keanu wasn’t still dressing like Mr. Anderson. Don’t people realize that mimicking Matrix is no longer profitable? Or speaking of things that aren’t profitable, are they trying to be Jonny Mnemonic?
