Sanjay delays release of ‘Black’

Looking at the success of ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’ director Sanjay Leela Bhansali had planed to produce ‘Bazirao Mastani’ taking Aish and Salman after finishing ‘Devdas.’ But because of sour relations between Aish and Salu this film could not start.

Sanjay has now finished his new film ‘Black’. In this suspense thriller Amitabh Bachchan and Rani Mukherjee are playing the lead roles. Sanjay is known for taking a long time to finish his films. But to the surprise of the industry Sanjay has completed this film within nine months.

When this film was about to release Sanjay changed its date. The first date fixed for the release of this film falls on Amaavas, a dark night according to the Hindu calendar day. Sanjay did not want to release his film on an inauspicious day and thus deferred its release.
