Subhash Ghai to direct Motherland

Despite a lukewarm start, Subhash Ghai is still hopeful about ‘Kisna-The Warrior Poet’ doing well. And for those who thought that his other project ‘Motherland’ has been shelved, there is news. The project is very dear to Ghai and will roll in a year or so.

Elaborating on the project Ghai says “I wanted to make ‘Motherland’, which had to wait because I had to assemble a huge star cast. Shah Rukh had back trouble and there were other problems. ‘Motherland’ has Indo-Pak as its theme and there are a lot of films on the subject curently (even though this is different). So I postponed it to next year.

‘Motherland’ is very close to my heart and will be made on a big scale. Just wait and watch.”
