Ninja Turtle Revival
Ninja Turtle Revival
Reviving rubbled 1990s comic book adaptation movie franchises appears to be the in thing to do. The Batman line is getting a massive defibrilation this summer and now there’s talks that the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will be revived on the big screen.
Imagi Services has announced its plans to develop an all new CGI adventure for the heros on a half shell. CEO and President of Imagi, who also served in a sort of executive producer capacity for the original live-action TMNT films, will produce. Kevin Munroe, whose credits include the illustrious “Hey Arnold” of Nickelodeon fame and made-for-TV CGI Christmas specials has been brought on board to both write and direct. A Spring 2007 release is planned. Las Vegas casinos have not yet released odds on whether or not the project will make it all the way to theatres as planned.
No word yet on whether or not Ray Romano will be providing the voice of Splinter. Also unknown is whether Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engvall, Ron White and Larry the Cable Guy will be playing the turtles. Yes, those are rumors and yes, I’m starting them. I need something to get me interested in this project.
