53rd National awards announced

National movie awards have been announced after much controversy for the year 2005.Amitabh Bachchan bagged the best actor award for the character of a teacher in the movie Black. Sarika got the female best actress award for her role in the movie Parzania.

Parzania is a movie based on Gujarat riots. The movie Rang De Basanti got the best entertaining movie award. Special jury awards were given to Anupam Kher for the movie Maine Gandhi ko Nahee Mara.
