Bollywood Actor Aamir Khan married his friend for four years, Kiran Rao yesterday 28.12.2005, at his residence in Bandra, Mumbai.

Theirs was a civil marriage and the ceremony was attended by the star’s family and close friends like Rani Mukerji, Fardeen Khan, Ashutosh Gowariker and Kunal Kapoor. Other Bollywood celebrities are invited for the three days Reception Party cum New Year Bash to be held in Panchgani (300 km from Mumbai) post marriage, where Aamir and Kiran first met.

The wedding party will have a Qawwali and Sufi poetry session. Kiran Rao is personally looking after the arrangements. The couple who has already left for Panchgani today (29.12.2005) will also attend a lavish wedding reception on January 2 in Bangalore arranged by Bride’s Family.

It will be Khan’s second marriage. Both of Khan’s children, from his first marriage with Reena Dutta, are planning to attend the wedding.
