Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai might become the hottest pair on screen soon, if offers starring, one opposite the other keeps coming up like this. Bollywood is abuzz that Abhishek and Ash are going to star in South film director Mani Ratnam’s next romantic project.

Rumour has it that Mani Ratnam was impressed by Abhishek’s performance in his earlier film Yuva (Abhi was seen in negative shade). Abhi also bagged the Best Supporting Actor award for the film. Now the famous director is keen to star Abhi and Ash in the leading roles.

Abhishek and Ash have worked together in Rohan Sippy’s debut film Kuch Naa Kaho. They were also seen together for some minutes in the hit song ‘Kajra re‘ from the movie ‘Bunty aur Bubli‘. The couple is currently busy shooting for the remake of the classic ‘Umrao Jaan‘ in Jaipur directed by JP Dutta. And the two will also work together in Yash Raj banner’s Dhoom sequel but won’t be cast opposite each other in the movie.

No official confirmation has come from the director or the star. If everything goes as said, this will be Aishwarya’s first film for Mani Ratnam.
