Abbas-Mustan of Baazigar fame have teamed up with aceman Subash Ghai to churn out an interesting game to deciet and courtroom drama aptly named Aitraaz. After adding grey shades to several actors this time Priyanka Chopra is playing the role with grey shades, which may be the role of her lifetime. Aitraaz stars:

Raj Malhotra (Akshay Kumar) is a businessman with un-tarnished image. He is the rising star of the telecom industry and he had a bright future till Sonia happened in her life. Now he is in courtroom facing grave charges. He has to prove that he is not guilty to take himself out from the girth he finds himself in.

Then there is Priya (Kareena Kapoor) who is Raj Malhotra’s business partner. She is a true manuplator and a firm businesswomen. Her support for Raj is his biggest strength. Now when Raj is stuck he has only Priya to look at for help. Priya is the only one who stands between troubles and Raj. Saving Raj’s life becomes her mission.

Playing a dangerous game is Sonia Chopra (Priyanka Chopra) is the one who accuses Raj Malhotra. In Sonia we see a lady who knows what are powers are and who knows how to use them to get what she wants. Yes its true if money makes the world go round, a woman can bring the world to a standstill. Sonia Chopra plays a dangerous game which brings Raj’s world at a crashing standstill. Sonia happens to be the past of Raj. A complete manuplator, she lives life by her rules. Only once things didn’t go her way and now she is back to settle scores. Now, she is the one who hold key to Raj’s fate.

Ram Choitrani (Annu Kapoor) and Mr Patel (Paresh Rawal) are defense and prosecution lawyer respectively. Both are equally shrewd and cunning. They both wanna win and it is a cat and mouse game.

Ranjit Roy (Amrish Puri) is the the boss of Raj Malhotra. He shares a relationship with Sonia and is manuplated by her at every go. He knows a lot, but he keeps his mouth shut and due to this virtue of his lot of lives are thrown out of the gear. How long can Ranjit Roy let this happen?

Raj Malhotra is accused. Now his most prized possession - his honor is at stake. He finds himself helpless in a world that is called a man’s world! At the mercy of a woman who puts to use her most effective weapon. The matter is in court, and it is upto him to prove his innocence. Can he or he can’t are questions waiting to be answered.

The movie has shades of DISCLOSURE. A Michael Douglas and Demi Moore starrer.
