The director of the movie Aladin “Sujoy Ghosh” said his upcoming flick having Amitabh Bachchan in the role of a Genie is no less than Hollywood flicks like ‘Harry Potter’ and ‘The Lord of the Rings.’ Sujoy Ghosh said Indian audiences have been watching Harry Potter and when he planned to make a movie on Aladin, he had to make it like Hollywood movies.

Sujoy planned to make the movie some five years back and the script of the big budget movie was written in a span of almost a year and a half. The post production work took almost a year and the movie was shot in almost 149 days. Ritiesh Deshmukh is doing the lead role in the movie with Sri Lankan actress Jackie Fernandez.

Sanjay Dutt is doing the role of the villain in the movie and the director said it was not very easy to make the movie. The music of the movie is composed by Vishal and Shekhar and the film is produced by Eros International and co-produced by Ghosh’s production company Boundscript.

Ghosh said the plan to make the movie was made in a coffee house meeting with Riteish at Mariott and it was amazing that Riteish was interested in making a big budget movie that Sujoy thought was very tough to make. Now most of the post production job has been finished and Sujoy is expecting that his film will get responses like Hollywood’s “Harry Potter.”
