Asin Verses Anushka Sharma

This year many girls and boys debuted into Bollywood but the only a few newcomer could create fans amidst masses. One was Imraan Khan who got positive response for his first film “Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na.” Two new actresses are waiting to come into Bollywood from big budget films “Rab Ne Banan Di Jodi” and “Gajini”. Anushka Sharma will be coming opposite Shahrukh Khan in “Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi” and Asin will be coming opposite Aamir Khan in “Gajini.”

Asin has already established herself in regional cinema and she has done films in south. In fact “Ghajni” was previously made in Tamil having Asin in lead role .So performance wise Asin is more experienced when compared to Anushka but nobody can underestimate Yash Raj Banner and a movie having Shahrukh Khan in lead role.

Anushka Sharma has not done any movie in Bollywood and for the first time she will be coming opposite Shahrukh Khan in “Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi.” If one looks at the fate of the film “Om Shanti Om ,” one can conclude that even without a known actress in lead ,the film will get audience ,because Shahrukh Khan is in lead role in the film. So Anushka’s debut into Bollywood can be said to be safe.

In “Gajini” two actresses are in lead roles Jiah Khan and Asin. Jiah said she is very excited about the release of the film because it will bring a change in her career and Asin was in news for having a fight with Aamir Khan, over secrecy issue of the film. Asin had been opposing the restrictions imposed on her by Aamir Khan after she did the film. But with two actresses in lead Asin has less time to prove her talent. Since both the movies “Rab Ne….” and “Gajini” will be releasing in coming weeks, we can wait to see who dominates.
