Big producers furious over the separate deals made by the writers
The writers have granted a few companies the provision to have their services and have started working for them on independent deals whereas many big producers are still facing the strikes by the writers and this has raised the ire of the big producers.
The Writers Guild of America has entered into a deal with United Artists and the writers are refusing Dick Clark Productions that needs the writers to write for the Golden Globes ceremony.
The reason is that Dick Clark would provide NBC to get advertising revenue from the show on Sunday by promoting its movies like “Charlie Wilson’s War” which is a movie made by its sister company Universal. Though the writers are at the risks of breaking federal rules the strike is continuing with a difference.
