Bipasha Basu is signed to play the lead character in Madhur Bhandarkar’s “Corporate” and has beaten Ash and Priyanka who were first considered for the role

Bhandarkar confirmed that he had cast the actress. Bipasha endorses, “It’s a great script. I cannot wait for the film to start.”

“Corporate” will examine the dynamics of the corporate world. The film should be ready for release some time next year.

Bipasha Basu will play the role of an ambitious individual determined to climb the corporate ladder. It is being described as a gritty realistic drama, which is Bhandarkar’s core strength as a filmmaker.

It is a Sahara One Motion Picture, the biggest player in the business and the project is being produced by Percept Picture Company. “Corporate” is Bhandarkar’s next directorial venture after the National Award winner “Page 3″, also a Sahara One Motion Pictures release.

On Aishwarya and Priyanka not doing the film, Bhandarkar said, “I agree that earlier I had Aishwarya in mind. But we could not work out the dates. She also asked me to delay the film, which I could not do. Hopefully we will work together again. As for Priyanka, I think someone was spreading rumours.”

Bipasha Basu and John Abraham, one of Bollywood’s hottest couples, will soon be seen together on KBC 2.
