March 4, LIC-Zee Cine Awards 2006 function is being held in Mauritius, telecast live on Zee TV from 7pm and who is who of Bollywood is attending it. Are u Game?

Star Anchors:
The oomph girl Mallika Sherawat and the known director Karan Johar are hosting the Awards. Mallika is known for her peppy tongue and this time she will be unstoppable. Another interesting thing to look forward is her dressing which always creates shock. Karan who has hosted such events two times before will be a delight to look at. Those who have seen Karan’s hit TV talk show ‘Koffee with Karan’ know how naughty he is and if one remembers Mallika was the hot topic of discussion in more than one episode. It will be so much fun to watch them together. Arjun Rampal, Konkona SenSharma and Gulshan Grover are the other celebrity to hosts for the show.

Guest list:
The delegation of guests coming mainly from India will comprise 750 persons. They will be leaving as from the 5th March. The first batch of guests who landed at SSR Airport are the Kapoors (Randhir, Rishi and Ranbhir), Prem Chopra, Arjun Rampal, Fardeen Khan, Diya Mirza, Zeenat Aman, Gulshan Glover, Sridevi and Rekha. Another batch of 200 guests again decended including stars like Preity Zinta, Rani Mukherjee, Shah Rukh Khan, Twinkle Khanna, Priyanka Chopra.

Great Performances:
The 9th edition of the awards will witness performances by Bollywood celebrities including Shahrukh Khan opposite Amrita Arora, Salman Khan with Akshay Kumar, Saif Ali Khan, John Abraham, Ritiesh Deshmukh, Preity Zinta, Rani Mukherji, Priyanka Chopra, Dia Mirza, Malaika Arora.

Theme and Tagline:
The entire campaign of this year’s awards is based on the Sun, Sand and Sea theme. The tag line for this year’s award is ‘Mauritius masti’ which will be reflected throughout the event. The stage will have a tropical touch.

Media:
Journalists are coming from around the world - USA, South Africa, New Zealand, Reunion Island and India. The primary medium of diffusion remains with Zee Network which will showcase the event to 350 million viewers in 120 countries.

Venue:
The Zee Cine Awards 2006 is taking place at the Swami Vivekananda International Conference Centre, Pailles. The mega-event will start at noon and is expected to last five hours. Film enthusiasts can catch the show once again on Zee Cinema on March 5.

Zee Cine Awards are most popular among viewers as it gives them a chance to vote for their favourite stars and films their by making them more genuine and unpredictable than other awards. The results for Zee Cine Awards are 100 per cent dependent on public votes.
