Boney Kapoor voted president of FFI
Boney Kapoor who has till now been celebrating the phenomenal success for his 2005 movie hit ‘No Entry’ now has one more reason to celebrate. He has been unanimously elected president of the Film Federation of India (FFI).
The elections were held Dec 29 after the 52nd general meeting of the FFI at Mumbai. The Indian Motion Picture Producers Association (IMPPA) pitched Boney from the Mumbai region.
Boney has some interesting films like ‘Paanch’, ‘Dost - My Best Friend’ and ‘Milenge Milenge’ lined for 2006 release. Shahid Kapur and Kareena Kapoor starrer ‘Milenge Milenge’ is slated for February release.
Sunjay Dutt and Aftab Shivdasani starrer ‘Dost - My Best Friend’ is about a six-year old girl who is separated from her parents in India and lands up with another couple in Romania. Sanjay Dutt helps the kid. ‘Paanch’ is a crime thriller. He has also ventured into television with the serial ‘Malini Iyer’ featuring wife Sridevi in the title role.
