Children Mythology movies in year 2007

A new trend is seen in the movies that performed well in Box office in the year 2007.The movies that were expected to do well are doing average business and movie having good new faces are performing better than expected. The year was also good for kids and the changing taste of Indian cinema goers can be sensed from the list of releases in the year 2007 and the list of hits in the year.

The movies for kids in the year were Blue Umbrella, Bal Ganesh and My friend Ganesh. The two movies based on the god Ganesha that were Bal Ganesh and My friend Ganesha are animation movies that have been made after sensing the success of the animations movies on Hanuman.

But the movie My friend Ganesha wasn’t thought well before being made. The Harry Potter and Spiderman movies by Hollywood are well thought and made and so the imaginary sets and sequences look very real and interesting whereas the movie made on the Indian Mythology are not made well to catch the audience even the real story starts looking unnatural as if the director himself is not believing in what is happening.

The Indian mythologies have stories and scripts better than the Harry Potters and Spidermans but the movie making and the concepts in the script is not well shown by the movie directors who think they can compete with the Hollywood movies. The simple script of Titanic was so well made that it got huge audience in India even from remote villages.

The movie makers are searching for script from all over the world and in fact they are copying script from the Hollywood they are copying the movie making techniques from the west that they themselves can’t think of. The movie makers in Bollywood need to develop their own imaginations and think the best in their minds and not copy from anywhere to get a success.
