Actor-politician Dharmendra turned 70 today and said he would prefer to spend the day with the family and friends and no special event was planned for the day.

He told a TV interview that his life has grown on the foundation of audiences love and he thanked all his fans for remembering his birthday.

When asked that whom he will give credit for his success, the veteran actor said that Destiny has played a strong role in shaping his career and he would thank God for this gift.

His wife Hema Malini also wished him on a news channel since Dharmendra is not at home on his birthday. He is in Delhi for the Parliament session.
