Directors line up to sign Hrithik Roshan
We may not have seen much of Hrithik Roshan on the big screen lately, but some top directors in Bollywood are vying to sign the handsome hunk for their next projects.
As we know, Hrithik is presently busy with his father’s movie Krrish (with Priyanka Chopra and Rekha ) after which he will commit to the Dhoom sequel in which he plays a character with negative shades.
And according to the latest buzz, Hrithik is being sought by none other than Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Ashutosh Gowarikar for their next films.
As learnt, Bhansali’s next film will be tentatively titled Alipur and will be a love story set in the India of 1940s. Gowarikar, on the other hand, is getting ready to make a historical titled Akbar-Jodha based on king Akbar and Jodhabai. Gowarikar wants Hrithik to play the emperor in the film.
But there is a problem. Both Bhansali and Gowarikar are keen to begin their projects in March 2006, meaning that Hrithik may have to choose one of them.
Hrithik is believed to have liked Gowarikar’s film and sources say that he has given his consent to the director. However, Gowarikar refuses to confirm this development. On the other hand, Bhansali too is not spilling any beans about his next movie.
As for Hrithik’s schedule, he is going to be busy with Krrish till December 2005 and will finish shooting for ‘Dhoom II’ by March 2006.
According to Hrithik’s secretary, the actor will take a final decision on Gowarikar’s movie after he returns Mumbai on May 1. Hrithik is presently shooting for Krrish in Manali, north India.
There is also a possibility that Hrithik may in fact commit to both Bhansali and Gowarikar after working out the dates issue.
