David Dhawn has replaced Ahmed Khan to direct Firoz Nadiadwala’s new movie Deewana Hua Paagal. Another story doing around is that the movie was to star Anil Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor and Paresh Rawal. But we hear that Anil Kapoor has been replaced by Akshay Kumar.

Reasons:
1. Ahmed Khan’s debut film Lakeer was a box office failure.
2. Anil Kapoor is not all that hot in movie circuit.
3. Akshay kumar got rave reviews for his comic timing in Sajid Nadiawala’s Mujhsay Shaadi Karoogi.

And considering Deewana hua Paagal is a comic film Firoz might have seen it fit to make the following changes in the cast and the crew of the movie.
