Dia Mirza plays a stripper

The fragile Bollywood beauty Dia Mirza is all set to play the role of a stripper in her next film Tumsa Nahi Dekha to be directed by Anurag Basu (of Murder fame). But before you expect something sizzling from her stripper’s role, the ex-Miss India is quick enough to clarify that she doesn’t has stripping scenes in the film as it focuses more on the stripper’s personal life. However going by the Murder director’s sensual handling to his subjects, the film does have a very hot song that includes a lot of stripping. Currently the promo of the film is on air and is making waves for the forced smooch it shows between Dia and Emraan Hashmi.

Dia bagged the role when the film’s original actress, the 16-year-old debutante Jiah Khan, opted out of the project as she claimed that some explicit scenes were added to the script at the last moment. But Basu went on record stating that this film (unlike Murder) is a musical love story, which he is certain would be cleared with a U certificate. A U certificate with stripping song? Seems implausible! Lets wait and watch.

Meanwhile Dia’s other films in 2004 include Naam Gum Jayega (opposite Rakesh Bapat), Blackmail (co-starring Ajay Devgan and Suniel Shetty), Basu Chatterjee’s Prateeksha, Ajeet Sinha’s Stop and a guest role in the Vivek-Ash starrer Kyun Ho Gaya Na.
