Eklavya Oscar entry and the controversy
After getting detrimental comments from Farah Khan, Sajid Khan and Anupam Kher, Vidhu Vinod Chopra has responded aggressively on Eklavya’s Oscar entry, saying that he never objected to entry of Paheli or any other movie getting selected for Oscars in against his more popular movies like Munnabhai MBBS or Parineeta.
He said that the people commenting on the selection of Eklavya are less educated about cinema and Oscars.

Another great example of corruption in India or just stupidity? Eklavya isn’t a bad picture for indian standard, but c’mon people, there is not a single that this movie is going to win anything, yet alone impresse anybody. Compared to an European movies, this isn’t even average, it’s totally bad. We should have sent a movie like Dharam, which deserves to represent India. Forget oscar for this year.
