Forthcoming film: Aakrosh

The movie Aakrosh is being made by Priyadarshan and the film has Ajay Devgan, Bipasha Basu , Akshay Khanna, Urvashi Sharma, Paresh Rawal, Amita Pathak, Raima Sen, Vineet Sharma in the lead role. The movie is basically an action thriller which is based on the social practice of honor killing. The story is based in rural region and it depicts how three thousand people were killed in the name of honor.

The film shows two CBI officers – the role is played by Ajay Devgan and Akshay Khanna go to a place to investigate the case of honor killing .It shows how the two officers find it difficult to get the facts as they are investigating the case. The story shows that the practice of honor killing has some logic or it is the sick mentality of some powerful people who do it without any logic.

The film was earlier named Garam Hawa but the makers of Garam Hawa did not like the title to be taken by another director and then the name shifted to Aakrosh .The movie was also titled Ishqana but after the release of Ishquiyan– the name was changed. The director of the original movie Aakrosh — Govind Nihlani did not have any problem for using the title and hence the title was finalized.

The movie has Ajay Devgan and Bipasha Basu in lead role and they are also doing another movie of Priyadarshan called Ram Leela. Recently Ajay was praised for his role in the movie Rajneeti – where he plays the role of Mahabharatha’s Karn and Bipasha was praised for the role of the movie Lamhaa – based on Kashmir.
