Ghai Launches 36 China Town

Ghai is all set to launch 36, China Town this Saturday [June 25] with a song recording at his studio in Andheri.

36, CHINA TOWN, is set to commence its shooting on 3rd July with its first schedule to be shot in Bangkok. The lead cast of 36, CHINA TOWN is aptly supported by Paresh Rawal, Johnny Lever, Isha Koppikar and supermodel Upen Patel.

Supermodel Upen Patel was always looking for the right break in Hindi films. “I don’t want to be associated with any wrong project at the start of my career,” he kept telling.

Well, his wait seems to have paid off, for Upen has been signed to enact a key role in none other than Subhash Ghai’s new project ‘36, CHINA TOWN’, directed by Abbas-Mustan.

Why 36 before China Town?

“Two reasons,” Ghai quips, “One, the rights to the title vest with Shakti Samanta. He wasn’t too keen on relinquishing it. The second reason being, the number 36, which totals to 9, is lucky for us. Besides, the new title goes well with the story of the film.”
