Highlights of 15th Star Screen Awards

Some of the prominent events that happened on stage of 15th Star Screen Awards, foremost Bollywood award ceremony of the year, were “Rock On” getting six awards; Akshay’s declining the award and Ashutosh Gowarikar getting irritated on Sajid’s comments. There were many reactions from Bollywood over the onstage wiles between Sajid and Ashutosh that was later backed by Farah.

“Rock On” that was the debuting film of Farhan Akhtar proved to be one of the most profitable venture of the year as the movie was made from a low budget ,it made huge profits and the movie bagged awards in six categories in the award function. The film has been favorite of youngsters.

Khiladi Kumar, Akshay Kumar refused to accept the screen award, who said he watched “Ghajini” and compared the film to his “Singh Is Kinng” and he found that the movie “Ghajini” had better performance from Aamir Khan and he felt Aamir should be given best actor award in popular category instead of him.

The award ceremony was held on Wednesday in Mumbai and the audiences were surprised when Ashutosh, who bagged best director’s trophy for Jodhaa-Akbar, said “Shut Up” to Sajid as he was making comments on the award winners.

He commented on Ashutosh saying “he ordered his technician to be absent from the award function to receive awards on their behalf “and later Ashutosh said that “he has been interrupting people as they delivered their winning speeches.” Sajid said he does all the commenting because of the channel and he even congratulated Ashutosh for getting the award.
