Hyderabad Blues 2 Audio CD? Give it a skip too…

For the second time in a row, I committed a blunder. I bought yet another copy protected audio CD. This time too I was in a hurry so forgot to check for the copy protection logo which was unfortunately pretty visible…

So, after Lakshya, this is the second audio CD with me with copy protection. Though this goes 1 step ahead and 1 step backwards… The CD does come with PC playing ability but only if you install special software from the CD itself. Sounds good till now. But… The software is PC only and does not run existing MP3s or OGGs on your PC. So you are stuck with running this software if you want to listen to Hyderabad Blues II soundtrack. And you need to have the Audio CD present in the CD Drive.

Another problem was that the CD did not work on my Thompson Audio System. Though it worked on my Sony Discman. Next to check is the JVC Car CD player. Pretty useless for me as a result because I prefer listening to music either on WinAmp or my music system. Discman is a pain in the ears and I don’t drive much.

Support the protest against copy protection audio CDs and don’t buy the Hyderabad Blues 2 Audio CD and instead go for the cassette instead…
