In Bunty Aur Babli Amitabh plays a Cop

In Bunty Aur Babli Amitabh plays a Cop

After playing the roles of an upright police officer recently in Khakee and Dev , mega superstar Amitabh Bachchan will be playing the role of a cop again in his forthcoming film.

Bachchan plays Dashrath Singh, the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Crime Branch in his forthcoming film Bunty Aur Babli , which also stars his son Abhishek Bachchan and his Black co-star Rani Mukherjee .

And Bachchan is hot on the trail of Bunty and Babli in the film who play small town characters who dream to make it big in the world one day.

But the problem is that when Bunty and Babli meet by coincidence, they adopt unfair means to realize their dreams.

Together they are spiritual gurus, bureaucrat and secretary, gangster and moll, business partners, hen pecked husband and pregnant wife, lawyer and sexually harassed client, vagabonds, caught-in-a-downpour lovers and lots, lots more. And they seem to be loving every minute of it.

Their escapades play out against backdrops as varied as the Taj Mahal, the banks of the Ganges, the saffrons of Benaras, the browns of Kanpur and Lucknow, the whites of Mussoorie, the tinkling bells of Rishikesh and Hardwar, the skies of Delhi and all across the vein like network of the Indian railways and highways.

Directed by Shaad Ali, ‘Bunty Aur Babli’ is produced by Yash Raj Films and is slated to hit the theatres on May 27 this year.
