John who is a popular youth icon will feature in the diet Pepsi ad. John can undoubtedly be called a youth icon because all girls are crazy over his Jism (physique) and all guys want to copy his Garam Masala looks.

Pepsi makers want to target the luxury segment in India as they have analyzed that the share of non carbonated drinks, that include water, juices and carbonated diet cola, has gone up from 10 per cent of the turnover to 20 per cent in 2005.

In John Abraham they have seen a personality and charisma which will be able to attract that segment of people.
