Last year John Abraham had one successful film ‘Dostana’ and this year he has some other series of films waiting to be released. Adding to his professional successes is the international movie `American Empire` that is a movie about gangsters and the film story is about a young woman and her hitman boyfriend.

Talking about the project John Abraham said he was approached by the movie makers when he had been to the city New Delhi to judge Castrol Power-1 passion hunt. The film will be directed by Andy Armstrong who is famous for TV show such as `The New Adventures of Robin Hood` that is about the underworld characters and violence.

John even talked about the sequel of the film”Dostana” to media and he said he is not aware if he will be contacted to be part of the sequel of the film but he heard that a sequel of Dostana is being considered by the movie makers. John Abraham’s next release will be “New York” that is Yash Raj Films movie.

The upcoming film of John Abraham “New York” is about three friends played by John, Neil and Katrina who witness the after effect of 9 /11 when the twin towers of World Trade Centre collapsed after being attacked by militants. John plays the role of a man who is tortured in jail during investigations after the attacks. John was part of the Sanjay Leela Bhansali film “Chenab Gandhi” from which he later withdrew.
