Kareena goes Mauja hi Mauja in Femina Miss India

Kareena Kapoor performed in the front of the guest and audiences in the Femina Miss India show on her popular number from the movie Jab We Met, Mauja Hi Mauja . The show was also marked by the performance of Bipasha Basu who danced on the song Bidi Jalaile and graceful Zeenat Aman was complimented by Sameera Reddy, who performed on the songs of 70’s decade.

The show of the Femina Miss India was held in Mumbai in Andheri Sports Complex on Saturday. Many bollywood stars were seen in the show. The show was hosted by Madhavan and Diya Mirza and they were wearing dresses designed by Ritu Kumar and China NC. The glamorous show, Pantaloons Femina Miss India, was participated by 28 contestants from all parts of India

The crown of the evening Miss India Universe 2008 was taken up by Simran Kaur Mundi of Mumbai. The crown of Pantaloon Femina Miss World 2008 was bagged by Parvathy Omanakuttam. The Goa girl Harshita Saxena was declared the Miss India Earth. The show was judged by a panel of leading bollywood actors and actress, choreographers, business heads and journalists.

The contestants were quizzed over many social and general topics to test their mental and physical stamina .Some of the questions were “What is the reason for increase in divorce rate in India” and “Do you prefer a love marriage or an arranged marriage?”.The judges included Katrina Kaif, Zeenat aman, Tabu, JJ Vallya, Shyamak Davar, Arnab Goswami and Rina Dhaka. The final five contestants who fought in the finals to get the crown were Harshita Saxena, Tanvi Vyas, Simran Kaur Mundi , Parvathy Omanakuttan and Sangeeta Chauhan.
