Kareena is Mrs. Singh

Kareena Kapoor would play the lead role in Vishal Bhardwaj’s ambitious project Mr. Mehta and Mrs. Singh, wherein the role of Mr. Singh would be portrayed by Aamir Khan.

Karishma got the first solo hit of her career with Aamir Khan. It remains to be seen weather Aamir proves lucky for Kareena as well.

Kareena wasn’t Vishal’s first choice for the movie. Before approaching Kareena, Vishal went to Preity Zinta, Rani and Vidya Balan. He says, ‘Preity and Rani didn’t have dates. Vidya Balan was ready but I wasn’t sure about casting her. At that time I thought of Kareena and approached her with the offer, which she readily agreed to.’

Vishal adds, ‘Aamir and Kareena would be seen together onscreen for the first time, and it would be an interesting experience.’
