Lara Dutta contacted to perform Billo Barber’s wife

The movie “Billo Barber “, is directed by Priyadarshan who is the Hindi movie maker, known for making remakes of hit Malayalam movies into Hindi. Priyadarshan’s next movie “Billo Barber “, will be made under the home production company of Shah Rukh Khan, Red Chilies Entertainment ltd. and this is for the first time the two will be coming together for the making of a movie.

The role of wife of Billo Barber was initially rejected by Tabu then it was taken over to Vidya Balan, who did the last movie of Priyadarshan, “Bhool Bhulaiyaa “ and she said the role needs the woman to be mother of two children and so she too refused the role.

The same role was taken over to Juhi Chawla who is a business partner of Shah Rukh Khan, she also refused to do the so called insignificant kind of role in the movie and last it was Lara Dutta who was contacted and it is assumed that she will agree to do the role because she will get a chance to work in a Shah Rukh Khan Production company’s movie and that may even help her get some better movies with Khan.

Lara Dutta is still consolidating the role but initially the movie itself was offered to Akshay Kumar who is the favorite actor of Priyadarshan. Most of the previous Priyadarshan movies where enacted by Akshay Kumar and he has been the first choice for the lead role of the movie “Billo Barber “, in which the actor was to play the real life actor and Akshay turned down the role later to be accepted by Shah Rukh Khan who even agreed to do the production for the movie.

The movie was initially made in Tamil and the rights of the movie were owned by Rajnikanth who has been making a movie on the same subject .The stars finalized for the movie are Lara Dutta, Irrfan Khan, Om Puri, Asrani and Rajpal Yadav. The movie will also have guest appearances from the actresses Deepika Padukone and Kareena, who may be doing item number in the movie.
