Lara wins court case against Gladrags

Things were not placid between Lara Dutta and Gladrags managing Editor Maureen Wadia.

Lara was upset because Maureen was promoting Gladrags awards by for plastering Lara’s posters on the Gladrags hoardings. Lara later filed a case of infringement of copyright against them for using her pictures without taking permission or informing her.

Lara Dutta has won the case and the court has instructed the company to stop using the actor’s pictures on their hoardings.

Dutta was the winner of the title in 1995 and technically can be called as the brand ambassador of the contest. However, Lara was upset because Gladrags had not promoted her after she won the contest and were still claiming credit for her success.
