Lucy Liu stars as dead reporter in RISE

Liu would be playing a reporter who mysteriously wakes up one day in a morgue- to realize that she’s actually dead. Pissed about being knocked off, she vows to avenge her death by hunting down her killers.

It’s a dope premise, very reminiscent of Mark Goldblatt’s 1988 zombie/buddy/cop movie DEAD HEAT- where zombified detective Treat Williams vows to hunt down the person who killed him. Yeah, it’s pretty frickin’ sweet.

We’ll be keeping our eyes peeled and our ears to the ground to either confirm, or dissolve this casting rumor- I think it’d be a great choice for Liu, who has that knack for looking good while getting some sweet revenge.
